RANA FATHALICounselling & Psychotherapy
A warm space to understand yourself, your relationships and the experiences that have shaped you.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
Sometimes we know we’re struggling, but we don’t quite know why.
Sometimes anxiety looks like overthinking.
Sometimes sadness looks like anger.
Sometimes relationship problems are about much more than one argument.
And sometimes, especially with children, behaviour is the only way they know how to communicate what they are feeling.
Counselling can be a place to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and find a different way forward.

Culture, Migration & Identity
Exploring belonging, identity, family expectations and the experience of living between cultures.
I have always been someone people feel comfortable talking to.
Long before counselling became my profession, I was the person people came to talk to — curious about their stories and what sits underneath the things we say and do.
Living in different countries, cultures and relationships taught me something important:
My role isn’t to judge that story — it’s to listen, understand it with you, and help you make sense of it.
Helping children understand the world within them.
Children don’t always have the words to tell us what is happening inside — and I believe behaviour is communication.
“How do we stop this behaviour?”
“What is this child trying to communicate?”
“Before we try to change what a child is doing, let’s try to understand what the child is experiencing — and what they might be learning from us.”— Rana Fathali
Because supporting your child begins with understanding.
Parenting can bring enormous love — and enormous uncertainty.
Why won’t my child listen?
Why are they behaving like this?
Am I doing something wrong?
How do I set boundaries without constantly fighting?
These questions don’t make you a bad parent — they make you a parent who is trying to understand.
Relationships begin with understanding.
Love matters — but love alone doesn’t always make a relationship work.
Understanding ourselves.
Understanding our partner.
Understanding what we bring from our past.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s understanding.
Relationship CounsellingThe person behind the words matters.
Culture shapes the way we see ourselves, our families, relationships and even what we believe we should feel.
My Master’s research explored how words can carry different meanings across languages and cultures.
Understanding someone isn’t always about understanding their words.
Sometimes it’s about understanding the world those words come from.
